KENT LUCAS

Kent Lucas is a general partner of the firm. Previously, he was a founding partner of 30X LLC, a global advisory firm with its roots in venture; in mobility, clean and green, smart cities, industrial tech and other adjacent verticals.  Kent is currently a venture partner at Next Gear Ventures, an Israeli early-stage venture firm.  Prior to that he was head of business development at VectoIQ LLC and was portfolio manager at Culmen Capital Management LLC, an emerging manager investment firm.  Kent started his investment career at The Capital Group as research analyst and vice president where he personally managed over $1 billion in public equity assets and his first job on Wall Street was in fixed income at Citibank N.A.

Kent currently serves as an advisor to DRIVE TLV (Tel Aviv), a leading mobility accelerator and commercialization program and serves as a mentor for Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator. 

 

Kent holds a BA in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

Outside of non sibi, Kent tries to spend as much time as possible in nature - keenly interested in shinrin-yoku - the Japanese art of "forest bathing".
